About US:

The National Drug
Authority (NDA) is an autonomous body which was established by the National
Drug Policy and Authority Act Cap 206, Laws of Uganda (2000 Edition) to
regulate Human and Veterinary medicines and other healthcare products. NDA’s
mandate is to ensure quality, safety and efficacy of human and veterinary
medicines and other healthcare products through the regulations and control of
their production, importation, distribution and use.

 

Job Summary:  The Development Partner Coordinator will be responsible
for assisting the Secretary to the Authority and Directorates whilst working
closely with Business Planning and Development function with a range of
operational and analytical  tasks necessary
for mobilizing and managing resources while engaging in technical
dialogues  with Development partners and
agencies with credit facility.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Identifying
and securing funding support from Government, Donors, Private sector, and other
sources of finance;

·       
Establish
resource mobilization and replenishment mechanisms / processes in the context
of relevant international or multilateral initiatives and funders;

·       
Prepare
relevant policy documents, reports, briefing notes and operational guidelines related
to resource mobilization;

·       
Collaborate
with cross-functional teams to structure and execute business and execute projects;

·       
Lead
administrative processes and procedures required to realize and manage donors and
agencies, Partners or Ministries with credit facility;

·       
Maintain
and manage the relationship with the NDA’s funders & Development Partners;

·       
Coordinate
the actual flow of funding contributions into NDA and provide regular forecasts
of expected contributions in both aggregate form and per funder;

·       
Represent
the NDA Secretariat in inter-governmental as well as inter-agency forums relevant
to resource mobilization;

·       
Support
Management and develop funding proposals and project concepts;

·       
Undertake
any other responsibilities, tasks or activities as may be assigned from
time  to time by the line Supervisor.

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounts, Social
Sciences, Business Administration, International Business, Masters in
Development Studies, Public or Global Health Studies, Business Administration,
Finance, Marketing, Economics, Public Affairs.

·       
Eight
(8) years’ experience in the related field five (5) years of which should be
at  supervisory Level in a reputable
organization.

·       
Experience
in resource mobilization

·       
Experience
working with Donors, Development Partners, or Funding Agencies.
