The International
Institute of Rural Reconstruction and Acholi Private Sector Development Company
is anticipating a 2 year project to be implemented in the Districts of Eastern
and Northern Uganda Districts of Bukedea, Bulambuli, Buyende, Iganga, Jinja,
Kamuli,Mbale, &Soroti  in Maize value
and rice enterprise – Amuria, Bukedea, Bulambuli, Butaleja, Kamuli, Kween,
Namutumba, & Sironko, Amolatar, Gulu, Oyam, Pader for the maize enterprise
and Amolatar, Gulu Kitgum, Nebbi Oyam, Pader District. The project will
implemented along the Rice and Maize value chains

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
Agri-Business Development Officer must hold a Masters Degree in Agribusiness,
Management or Agricultural Economics

·       
Five
years of relevant experience in rural development activities such as
agribusiness development, market research, capacity building, organizational
development and development economics.

·       
Proven
record in training needs assessment and capacity building development
strategies.

·       
Comprehensive
understanding of agricultural development involving public and private sectors.

·       
Proven
track record of achieving results in related activities in rural setting.
