The International
Institute of Rural Reconstruction and Acholi Private Sector Development Company
is anticipating a 2 year project to be implemented in the Districts of Eastern
and Northern Uganda Districts of Bukedea, Bulambuli, Buyende, Iganga, Jinja,
Kamuli, Mbale, & Soroti  in Maize
value and rice enterprise – Amuria, Bukedea, Bulambuli, Butaleja, Kamuli,
Kween, Namutumba, &Sironko, Amolatar, Gulu, Oyam, Pader for the maize
enterprise and Amolatar, Gulu Kitgum, Nebbi Oyam, Pader District. The project
will implemented along the Rice and Maize value chains.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant must hold a Masters’ Degree in any of the Agricultural Sciences

·       
Five
years of relevant experience in rural development activities such as
agricultural extension.

·       
Previous
record in performing an intermediary function between research (or any other
source providing new information) and farmers, operate as facilitators and
communicators helping farmers in their decision making and ensuring that
appropriate knowledge is implemented in order to obtain the best results in
terms of sustainable production and general rural development.

·       
Proven
track record of achieving results in related activities in rural setting.
