Communications Commission (UCC) was established to implement the provisions of
The UCC Act 2013 Laws of Uganda with a principal goal of developing a modern
communications sub-sector and Infrastructure in Uganda, in conformity with the
operationalization of the Telecommunications Policy.
Job Summary: The Technician will support the regional
office by carrying out assigned technical tasks in line with the Commission’s mandate
and guidelines
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
To
ensure that all technical equipment is in good technical working conditions
·
Trouble
shoot technical problems for example electronic equipment such as communication
equipment
·
Provide
support in carrying out of technical inspections, and To carry out routine
monitoring measurements
·
Provide
support in conducting tests of communication equipment and collection of the
required data.
·
To
provide support in setting up and monitoring of technical equipment
·
Assist
the head office technical staff as they perform routine procedures in the
regional offices.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
ideal candidate for the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Technician job
placement should hold a Diploma in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering
or a related filed
·
Two (2)
years’ experience in telecommunications or electrical engineering in a similar
corporate environment
