The Uganda
Development Corporation (UDC) was set up by the Uganda Development Corporation Act
2016 as the investment arm of Government with the primary objective of
facilitating industrial and economic development of the country. This
objective is met through; establishment of subsidiary and associated companies,
entering into public private partnerships with any commercial, industrial or
agricultural undertaking or enterprises, assisting in financing and management
of undertakings promoting industrial or economic development; and promoting and
facilitating research into industrial development. 

Job Summary:    The Senior Geologist will provide technical
guidance in mineral exploration that the corporation is interested in and any
other relevant support in the mining sector.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Chemistry, Remote
Sensing and Geophysics from a recognized University.

·       
Minimum
of Post Graduate Diploma in Mineral Exploration or Exploration Geophysics will
be of an added advantage.

·       
Have at
least six (6) years of practical working experience in the field associated
with the management of the mineral sector.

·       
Have
experience in coordinating mineral related projects and with proven capacity to
generate good and acceptable reports.

·       
Age: Below 54 years
