Job Summary: The senior finance officer will be the first
line officer in closing the Financial books of Accounts of the month with
support from the Finance Manager as his/her direct supervisor.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Monthly
journal input feeding into the financial month end processes

·       
File
monthly statutory returns (NSSF, PAYE and WHT)

·       
Monthly
salary journal apportionment based on funding streams

·       
Perform
monthly bank reconciliations with support from the Finance manager

·       
Reconcile
Beyonic mobile money consolidated account

·       
Take
charge of cost share journal entries on monthly basis-following this up with
program teams

·       
Review
payment vouchers to ensure internal control processes have been followed

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate for the IntraHealth International Senior Finance Officer job
placement must hold a degree in Commerce or accounting from a recognized
University

·       
Part or
full membership to a professional Accounting body is required.

·       
A
minimum of four years’ progressive financial management experience working
within a busy INGO environment.

·       
Experience
working with USAID funded program will be an added advantage.

·       
Should
have a thorough understanding of the statutory requirements regarding
applicable taxes and other related remittances.

·       
Highly
flexible and willing and able to independently work under minimum supervision
and under strict timelines.

·       
Must
demonstrate ability to account for deliverables

·       
Working
Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software

·       
Knowledge
of advanced MS excel
