Troupe (ACT) was founded in 2019 to empower the children in Katwe and to keep
them away from the violence, drugs and gang activity that are prevalent in
their community. What started as a few people getting together to learn how to
juggle has grown into a 501c3 nonprofit supporting over 350 children.
Job Summary: Acrobatic Circus Troupe’s (ACT’s) Finance
Associate will contribute to the growth and long-term sustainability of the
organization. This individual will be responsible for preparing budget and
financial reports, managing accounting records, handling payments &
collections and payroll documentation and distribution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Associate has the following
responsibilities and duties:

Manage
accounting records
·
Prepare
financial reports
·
Manage
payments and collections, including collections from performances • Manage cash
balances
·
Improve
accounting systems, policies and processes as necessary
·
Prepare
the yearly budget with input from the President and the Chairman of the Board
·
Ensure
that ACT does not overspend and operates within the limits of their yearly
budget
·
Prepare
payroll and distribute to ACT employees
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The Finance Associate should have the
following skills, education & experience:

Bachelor’s
degree in Finance or Accounting
·
Fluent
in English
·
Mastery
of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Gmail
·
Excellent
written and oral communication skills
·
Passion
for working with and mentoring children
·
Ability
to work in ambiguity
·
Entrepreneurial
spirit
