Job Summary:  The Network Officer is responsible for setting
up and maintaining the bank’s Local and wide area networks. This role is
responsible for day to day maintenance of all network devices across all
branches in addition to managing the connectivity to the Internet Service
providers over the leased lines to ensure 99.99% network uptime

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Install
and configure network devices in line with the Bank’s operating policies and
procedures

·       
Monitor
and maintain branch network. This includes all network switches and routers
interconnecting the Head Office to all the branches and offsite ATMs to provide
system uptime of 98%

·       
Maintain
Head Office LAN, ensuring there is interconnectivity between devices at all a
levels.

·       
Actively
and effectively resolve any network issues with the support of service
providers, ensuring network service continuity for all branches.

·       
Provide
monthly network availability reports.

·       
Actively
fix network problems, ensuring that the network operates in accordance with
defined guidelines, achieving the required system uptime.

·       
Manage
Internet Access rights to all Bank users

·       
Generate
and manage the Bank’s SSL Certificates on all servers

·       
Setup
and configure site-to-site VPN tunnels for effective and secure connectivity
between Bank and any third party business partner.

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant for the Housing Finance Bank Network Officer job opportunity must
hold a Bachelor of Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer
Engineering / Electrical and Electronic Engineering or its equivalent

CCNA

·       
ITIL
Foundation Certificate in IT Service management

·       
Free
Open Source Certified System Administrator level 1 & 2 Cyberoam Certified
Network Security Professional (CCNSP)

·       
Cisco
IOS installation, WAN/LAN configuration and administration

·       
WAN/LAN
monitoring using NTOP, CACTI, whatsup Gold and NAGIOS, Solar Winds Engineer’s
Toolkit, OP manager

·       
Multi-vendor
Internet Gateway/Firewall, Linux Firewall (SUSE, Ubuntu and Clear-OS) setup and
administration

·       
At least
five years of experience as a network administrator in a commercial environment

·       
Enterprise
WIFI deployment and administration

·       
Microsoft
Windows server administration (Active Directory)

·       
Microsoft
Exchange Server Administration

·       
Computer
Hardware Repair and maintenance

·       
Microsoft
Windows Desktop OS installation, troubleshoot and administration

·       
Service
