About US:

Musana Community
Development Organization (MCDO) is an NGO that has created sustainable
initiatives focused on Education, Health care, Skills development (craft
project, cafe/restaurant & guest house) and Economic development. These high
impact enterprises are almost 100% sustainable with locally generated income
and also generate additional profits that are used to provide Tuition
Scholarships, Medical assistance, Micro loans and Skills training to the most
vulnerable members of the Community to start their own businesses. Since its
inception in September 2008, MCDO has undergone a process of organizational
transformation in this process the organisation has evolve from a home for
Vulnerable children and Orphans to a large and robust formal institutional
setting.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

Coordinate M&E
and Quality control activities including; –

·       
Manage
and lead in all aspects of monitoring and evaluation in the organization;

·       
Support
department staff in developing operational plans, work schedules and ensuring
departments implement activities on agreed targets and timelines;

·       
Ensure
learning from relevant best practice by coordinating and implementing
operational research, baseline surveys, satisfaction surveys and using the results
and recommendations to better programming;

·       
Undertaking
monitoring and evaluation roles aimed at assessing program impact, quality and
sustainability.

·       
Ensure
accurate, sufficient and timely flow of information and progress reports
(narrative and financial) to the programme directorate;

·       
Generate
case studies and activity updates for use in social media, newsletters, website
and for advocacy.

·       
Track
the performance of the program activities and outputs against expected results
and adjust implementation processes to ensure the programs are progressing
towards the intended outcomes.

·       
Support
management and accountability through routine, accurate collection and
reporting of information that confirms status of program activities based on
log-frames.

·       
Analyze
organizational impact and promote learning by documentation of best practices.
Use this information to support decision-making processes.

·       
Oversee
implementation of M&E systems through regular field monitoring visits and
tracking of Key Performance Indicators as approved, ensure implementation of
Information Management System(s) for schools and hospital at all levels.

·       
Work
closely with Heads of Departments to ensure accurate qualitative and
quantitative reporting timely in line with organizational requirements.

·       
Undertake
pro-active on the job training and staff development. Train and Mentor staff on
effective project planning and management methodologies.

·       
Develop
the quality control systems and mechanisms needed to guarantee proper
management of information and data

·       
Ensure
effective monitoring and evaluation of project quality, using monitoring tools
appropriate audit results, core Musana values and policies, operational plans,
and strategic documents.

·       
Enforce
use of standard reporting tools and templates;

·       
Conduct
regular performance evaluation and supportive supervision of facilities
following agreed standard procedures.

·       
Coordinate
regular review meetings with steering team and management.

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development
Studies, Economics/Statistics with Postgraduate in M&E.

·       
At least
five years of experience in M&E with a busy reputable organization.

·       
Knowledge
in Health and Education National frameworks; Practical experience using Excel,
SPSS, KOBO, Epi-Stat etc.

·       
Demonstrated
abilities in assessment techniques and analytical skills.

·       
Demonstrated
experience in designing monitoring and evaluation tools.

·       
Capacity
building experience in project design, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.

·       
Computer
knowledge including Word, Excel, Lotus Notes and Power Point.

·       
Strong
skills in written and verbal English communication skills.

·       
Willingness
to work in a rural area, under minimum supervision.

·       
Age:
27-32 years
