Job Summary:  The Project Officer – Sexual Reproductive
Health will oversee and ensure that all activities related to the project are
implemented in a timely and efficient manner according to the agreed LWF
Uganda, and Donor Guidelines, and provide leadership and coordination for all
aspects related to project activities in the designated Sub-Program.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Implement
all planned project activities with expertise and in a manner that leads to
attainment of the project goals and outcomes;

·       
Keep
records of all project activities including project assets under custody/use,
beneficiary list, partner list, assets or inputs provided, activity and
monitoring reports, lists of PoC benefiting from the project, etc.;

·       
Regularly
develop and share monthly activity plans with the Project Manager;

·       
Ensure
100% implementation of the planned project activities on a monthly basis and
that budgets are not under and over spent.

·       
Develop
activity and budget tracking tools, and use on a monthly basis to track and
report on activity and budget management.

·       
Support
in collaboration and tabulation on a regular basis field data on project
activities carried out and undertake impact assessment using participatory
approaches for all beneficiaries to determine the relevance and impact of the
assistance;

·       
Ensure
that proper mapping of project beneficiaries is done & information shared
in time. Regular visit to all beneficiary sites where project activities are
undertaken, check on progress, offer support as directed by the project manager
in line with the project objectives;

·       
In
collaboration with the PMER unit lead in development of Tools and ensure
effective deployment and use of the Survey CTO.

·       
Take
lead in the establishment of Male Engagement Groups (MEGs) and use these
community based male groups as champions of change on SRH.

·       
Build
the capacity of school health club pupils and patron on sexual reproductive
health and skills in making reusable sanitary kits.

·       
Take
lead in organizing and conducting various community dialogue and sensitisation
meetings on SRH.

·       
Assess,
facilitate and strengthen the capacity for health workers and village health
teams’/community health workers and target community to conduct SRH activities.

·       
Equip
and facilitate sessions at youth friendly spaces at health centres and outpost.

·       
Participate
in the design and implementation of BCC strategies for purposes of increasing
awareness on SRMH.

·       
Adapt/Develop
materials related to sexual reproductive health, including training packages,
assessment tools for smooth roll out and implementation of sexual reproductive
health project component

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate for the LWF World Service Project Officer – Sexual Reproductive
Health job opportunity must hold a university degree in a health-related field,
Development studies or Social Sciences.

·       
Three
years of experience in humanitarian work in community mobilization SRH.

·       
Experience
in Monitoring and Evaluation and Project Management is also essential.

·       
Experience
working on Youth Development Programs including Adolescent Sexual Reproductive
Health.

·       
Experience
in working with Persons of Concern and local communities to promote community-
based structures and institutions for self-management

·       
Proficiency
in computer programming; word processing, spreadsheets etc.

·       
Ability
to ride a motorcycle and with a valid riding permit is desirable.
