Job Summary: Watoto
is seeking to recruit an Events Assistant to provide indoor and outdoor
thematic environment that meet and serve the needs of Watoto.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
To plan
and prepare for Watoto church events, develop new concepts, manage event processes
and budgets with Team Leaders.
·
To
maintain all existing Watoto Church special events from concept to completion
and ensure it’s smooth operation.
·
To
artistically transform spaces for purposes of serving events for different
departments.
·
To
identify and source for appropriate material and suppliers for different work
request and support end-user and service providers in relation to designs.
·
To
support the departmental Team Leader in the recruitment of volunteers and
oversee the performance of the departmental volunteers.
·
To
assemble data for different projects by visiting job sites and support the
environment design assistant in developing and designing concept boards for
thematic decor concepts.
·
To
participate and attend all planning meetings for events and Environment design
planning.
·
To
coordinate the guest lists, food arrangements, menu planning, decorative and
table set up for all event and generate reports for management review for all
events
·
To
develop a budget for every event and manage timely accountabilities of
expenses.
·
To
oversee the cleanliness and organisation of the stores, ensure that the office
has supplies on a monthly basis and maintain an up-to-date catalogue.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
applicant for the Watoto Church Events Assistant job opportunity should at
least a diploma.
·
At least
two years’ experience working in Events and decorative business or similar role
·
A team
player, result oriented, self-motivated, able to work with minimum supervision
·
Creative
and enterprising.
