Job Title:    Abattoir Accountant

Biyinzika Poultry International Limited (BPIL) is the leading integrated
poultry company and a recognized household brand within Uganda. Established 30
years ago as Biyinzika, BPIL has grown from small beginnings to a company with
over 9?5 employees stationed in over 9 production sites. BPIL produces and
distributes quality day-old chicks and HACCP certified animal feed through over
40 branches within Uganda and the East African region. BPIL also produces
chicken meat products under the Pearl Chicken brand retailed directly through
our 30 Pearl chicken shops. Pearl also supplies leading wholesale, retail and
food service customers with quality Ugandan National Bureau of Standards (UNBS)
certified products.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Reconcile
daily stock movement in and out of the abattoir i.e. Birds issued from farms
tally with birds received by abattoir, stock movement from production to
coldrooms, from cold rooms to dispatches per product.

·       
Share
daily stock balances per location per product.

·       
Reconcile
daily production matching with daily receipts in the cold room.

·       
Reconcile
daily production with system posted production and ensure accurate productions
are posted for each item in the ERP system (Navision)

·       
Reconcile
daily dispatches from abattoir tally with receipts at the sales point and sales
outlets, confirm these are invoiced for completeness.

·       
Manage
and supervise stock management in the abattoir cold rooms: ensure stock is well
stacked for easy access, ensure FIFO system is followed, ensure all stocks in
the cold room are well labelled.

·       
Investigate
and explain all abattoir variances, ensure all issues are resolved.

·       
Share
stock return report with explanations on a weekly basis and carryout stock
counts.

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant must hold a Bachelors in Business Administration (Accounting Option).

·       
ACCA/ CPA
Level three.
