Job Summary: The Engineering Manager shall oversee the
technical operations of the company, from submitting design proposals to
controlling the quality of piling solutions on site. He/she shall be
responsible for developing technical solutions at tender stage and overseeing
the execution of geotechnical designs as per specifications. The candidate will
also be tasked with maintaining and improving upon the company’s technical
capabilities which are offered to clients. This role shall be based in Kampala
with occasional travel to site locations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Engineering Manager’s tasks and
responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Preparation
of tender documents
·
Geotechnical
design work
·
Development
of company technical procedures and capabilities
·
Oversee
Health and Safety of employees across project sites
·
Management
of quality control procedures during project execution
·
Control
budgets for projects
·
Manage
the progress of works of live projects
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
applicant must hold a Degree in Civil Engineering
·
At least
three years of professional experience, including both design work and site
work
·
Ideally
including experience with piling and/or geotechnical solutions
·
Adaptability
·
Autonomous
·
Desire
to assume responsibility
·
Good
technical skills
·
Clear
communication
·
Works
well in a team
·
Ability
to work under pressure and meet deadlines
·
Strong
problem-solving abilities
·
Fluent
English, both spoken and written
