Job Summary:  On
behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced
Dispatch Supervisor to work in Uganda. The incumbent will verify kitted orders
for correctness of order, plan and organize the positioning of each order
(after kitting of customers’ goods), per route-location. Hand over orders for
delivery.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

Kitted Goods Verification

·       
Ensure
that kitted goods are well boxed, per Agent.

·       
Verify
contents in bag to match receipted items.

·       
Counter
check that labeling on bag correctly matches customers’ name as per kitting
receipt.

·       
Check
correctness of labeling on boxes.

·       
Ensure
boxes are well sealed (seals affixed to every single box before dispatch.

Route planning: To plan
routes and coordinate warehouse resources in order to maximize the efficiency
of kitting and dispatching within agreed timeliness.

·       
Check
and ensure that information on Manifest is correct, prior to handing to Driver
Assistant (DA);

·       
Check
box details are complete prior to handing over to DA;

·       
Assist/provide
active support as required with the coordination of the driver pre-delivery
audits (stop and randomly check any vehicle to ensure that what has been loaded
matches what is contained in manifest);

·       
Assist
in route-planning for delivery rounds;

·       
Plan
loading based on first loaded last delivered and vice versa;

Progress Monitoring & auctioning: To monitor in real time, the dispatch and loading schedule adherence and
to proactively take actions to resolve potential issues, where applicable.

·       
Continuously
monitor the boxing, staging of customers’ goods and dispatch-accuracy, and
report any unsolved discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager;

·       
Ensure
to monitor and solve any miss-sorts and mis-routes, and review boxing/dispatch
processes to stop occurrences;

·       
Take
action to solve potential delays in dispatching of customers’ goods in
coordination with Logistics Dept e.g., trucks position, acceptance of returns
from the field;

·       
Inform
Customer Care on (potential) delays impacting agreed service levels;

·       
Check
the dispatch scanning is complied, to fully ensure efficiency and company
assets’ control is achieved.

·       
Escalate
any situation which compromises service delivery.

Customer satisfaction

·       
To
establish a customer-focused culture by participating in the implementation of
initiatives aimed to achieve customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention, both
internally and externally.

·       
Assist
in the development and implementation of actions plans that address the
outcomes of the any Customer Loyalty/Retention Measurement Programme as and
when introduced;

·       
Identify,
and stimulate the employees to identify and report, ongoing service issues and
recommend solutions to the Warehouse Manager;

CR and Health & Safety

·       
Comply
with the company’s corporate responsibility, health, safety and environmental
standards and responsibilities as identified within the company’s management
systems;

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The applicant
should at least hold a Diploma in any Business-related course preferably
Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

·       
Experience
in a similar role within a fast-paced industry.
