John Snow, Inc.
(JSI) is a leader in the field of international public health, is currently
recruiting for Data Clerks for the Regional Health Integration to Enhance
Services-North, Lango (RHITES-N, Lango) Project, funded by the USAID. RHITES-N,
Lango will improve the use of integrated health services in Northern Uganda’s
Lango region and strengthen the health system to sustain gains made by earlier
projects. RHITES-N, Lango will contribute to improving key population-based
national health indicators; build the capacity of the Ugandan government to
carry out a sustainable and locally-driven response to the HIV epidemic, while
also improving TB, malaria, nutrition, MNCH+A, and WASH outcomes. JSI will work
with Ugandan stakeholders to design and implement health system strengthening
strategies to scale up high- impact, evidence-based interventions at the
national, sub-regional, district, and community levels. Interventions will
include VMMG, virtual elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV,
antiretroviral therapy, and condom education and distribution. JSI will focus
where the greatest impact can be realized, with a priority on hard-to-reach and
high-HIV-prevalence locations. RHITES-N, Lango is a five-year contract which
Started in February 2018 and will end February 2023. The JSI team includes
Amref Health Africa, Africa CUAMM, Another Option, and Medical Concierge Group.

 

Job Summary:  The Enrolled Comprehensive Nurse will provide
quality nursing services to patients and participate in implementing public
health interventions in the community.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Receiving,
registering and preparing patients for diagnosis;

·       
Providing
quality nursing care and treatment to patients;

·       
Observing
and keeping proper records about the patients;

·       
Participating
in Doctors/Clinical Officers Ward rounds;

·       
Participating
in bedside nursing procedures as a member of the caring team;

·       
Preparing
patients for meals and participate in serving them;

·       
Maintaining
a clean and healthy environment for the patients;

·       
Supervising
and appraising Nursing Assistants and support staff;

·       
Sensitizing
patients and their attendants about basic health care practices; and

·       
Compiling
and submitting daily nursing care service activity reports.

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate must have Enrolled Nursing Certificate from a recognized
Institution.

·       
Must be
registered and licensed with the Nurses and Midwives Council.

·       
MUST be
a resident from any districts in Lango sub region.

·       
Must
have graduated within the previous 24 months. No candidates over 24 months’
post-graduation are eligible for the internship program.

·

and integrity; and

·       
Time
management
