About US:

Food for the Hungry
(FH/U) is a Christian international relief and development organization with
funding and support from World Food Program (WFP) is implementing a Nutrition
project in Palabek, Lamwo with the goal of contributing to reduction of
morbidity and mortality caused by malnutrition, by targeting children under
five years and PLW with MAM. Under this Project, FH will focus on Targeted
Supplementary Feeding Program(TSFP), Maternal and Child Health and
Nutrition(MCHN) to ensure appropriate quality treatment of Moderate Acute
Malnutrition(MAM); improve the nutritional status of children 6-59 months and
Pregnant and Lactating Women (PLW) in the program area and Improve caregiver
knowledge and skills to practice Essential Nutrition Actions (ENA) and IYCF
practices through Community Nutrition Volunteers (SBCC Strategy).

 

Job Summary:  The role of the Monitoring and Evaluation
Officer is to support and ensure effective monitoring, verification and
evaluation of the Food for the Hungry Nutrition Project.

The Monitoring and
Evaluation Officer will ensure learning is analysed, documented and shared. The
post holder will liaise closely with the partners who have established the
overall monitoring, verification and evaluation framework.

Key Deliverables

·       
Effective
contribution to the development of project M&E and learning system
requirements.

Timely
co-ordination of inputs required from partners towards quality reports and
other programme documentation.

Effective
co-ordination and administration of Programme planning and learning meetings

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate must hold a College/university degree in Monitoring and Evaluation
studies, social sciences, demography, development planning, mathematics,
statistics, or similar field

·       
A post
graduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation is an added advantage

·       
Four
years or more experience working in monitoring & evaluation of development
programs preferred.

·       
Vibrant
personal relationship with Christ.

·       
Fluency
in written and spoken English a must. Working knowledge of Luo and other
languages spoken in Palabek among refugees will be an added advantage
