Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Responsible
for managing credit control activities of the entire company

·       
Responsible
to manage a team of 4-5 field Internal Credit Control Officers

·       
Responsible
to manage/supervise 15-30 branches and other units/departments involved in
credit operations within organization

·       
Ensure
completion of branch audits within established timeline in each Quarter

·       
Periodical
physical field visits and branch visits needs to be conducted

·       
Drive
special branch audit wherever required

·       
Guide
team with sampling and auditing technique

·       
Periodical
skill development training for the team

·       
Provide
regular updates to senior management about the overall working environment

·       
Prepare
consolidated reports on findings, observations and recommendations and present
regular reports to the CEO and other required stakeholders

·       
Prompt
reporting of critical issues observed

·       
Ensure
uniformity and accuracy in maintenance of records

·       
Develop,
implement, and maintain internal audit policies and procedures

·       
Finding
rectifiable areas in current internal control system

·       
Implement
best audit, credit control and business practices

·       
Properly
communicate and discuss all the audit findings with the auditee   

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
Graduation
(added preference will be given for M.Com or MBA)

·       
5-7
years of experience on similar role in financial institution/MFI in Uganda              

·       
Strong
written and verbal English commands and a knowledge of a minimum 2-3 additional
most spoken local languages

·       
Good
interpersonal skills

·       
Questioning
mind set

·       
Team
handling capacity

·       
Prior
work experience in Financial Institution/ MFI sector

·       
Proactive,
independent decision maker, good team player

·       
Analytical
thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills

·       
Positive
attitude and adaptability nature

·       
Good
knowledge of Microsoft Office  

·       
Travelling:
At least 10-15 days per month to different regions where company is operating          

·       
Age limit: Below 40 years
