Director Financial Management & Operations with linkage to Human Resource
Manager

 

About US:

TPO Uganda is a
local Ugandan NGO that has been operating in the country for 25 years. Our
programs comprise interventions organised around the following themes; Care and
protection of OVC; child protection, livelihoods support, mental health and
psychosocial support, response and prevention of all forms of violence against
women and children as well as emergency response and humanitarian action. TPO
Uganda is active in 33 districts in the region and is a member of several
partnerships and coordination mechanisms in the country.

 

Job Summary:  The Human Resource Officer will implement
human resource management policies, systems, and processes in line with TPO’s
HR Strategy.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Implement
the TPO recruitment and selection processes in line with the Human Resource
Manual.

·       
Monitor
staff performance and attendance activities.

·       
Develop
and implement staff learning and development programs in line with TPO
objectives and procedures.

·       
Develop
and implement welfare scheme and staff benefits in line with the human resource
policy.

·       
Participate
in, documentation and dissemination of correspondences and minutes in line with
the HR policy.

·       
Monitor
the TPO payroll and advise the Finance on any changes before salaries are paid.

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management, Industrial
and Organizational Psychology, Business Administration with bias in Human
Resource Management or any other related field.

·       
A PGD
HRM is an added advantage. At least three years’ experience of working in a
generalist HR environment, to include administration of recruitment and
training at all levels.

·       
Previous
experience of supporting managers across a variety of departments at different
levels in all aspects of HR and training
