not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor
College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network
of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of
Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa and
Eastern Europe.

 

Job Summary:   The Hub Rider will mainly transport CD4, DBS,
and TB Sputum Samples from designated Health Facilities to Hoima Regional
Referral Hospital (Hub) and transportation of laboratory test results from
Hoima Regional Referral Hospital back to the Health Facilities.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Transportation
of CD4, DBS, and TB Sputum Samples from designated Health Facilities to Hoima
Regional Referral Hospital (Hub) and transportation of laboratory test results
from Hoima Regional Referral Hospital back to the Health Facilities.

·       
Complete
the relevant documentation for tracking the specimen chain of custody at the
referring health facility and the hub.

·       
Provide
safe custody of the transportation materials (cooler boxes, sample dispatch
forms & trip accountability logs).

·       
Daily
trip accountability logs, authenticated with Health Facility stamps and
signatures of laboratory in charges to the Hub coordinator

·       
Periodic
motorcycle maintenance.

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate must hold a Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology with a
valid motorcycle riding permit

·       
Basic
motor bike maintenance experience

·       
Good
interpersonal skills and able to interact productively with health facility
staff

·       
One year
of related work experience

·

have at least a credit 6 in MATHEMATICS and ENGLISH at Ordinary Level (UCE).
