Mbarara University
of Science & Technology (MUST), commonly known as Mbarara University, is a
public university in Uganda. Mbarara University commenced student intake and
instruction in 1989. It is one of the eight public universities and
degree-awarding institutions in the country. MUST is accredited by the Uganda
National Council for Higher Education.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Reports to the Computer Technician
and carries out the following duties:

·       
Managing and monitoring of the usage of computers in the
computer rooms. ii. Maintaining security of computers.

·       
Asset tracking of IT equipment in Computer room

·       
Developing maintenance and service plans for computers in
the rooms.

·       
Performing software and hardware repairs and maintenance
routines.

·       
Preparing periodical reports on the status of respective
computer rooms. 

Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
Certificate in Technical Computing e.g Computer
Engineering; Maintenance /Repair /Networking

·       
Uganda Certificate of Education with a pass in English
Language.

·       
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education is an added
advantage

·       
Certification in Computer Applications Training is an
added advantage

·       
Must not be above 35 years of age at the time of
application.
