About US:
TPO Uganda is a
local Ugandan NGO that has been operating in the country for 25 years. Our
programs comprise interventions organised around the following themes; Care and
protection of OVC; child protection, livelihoods support, mental health and
psychosocial support, response and prevention of all forms of violence against
women and children as well as emergency response and humanitarian action. TPO
Uganda is active in 33 districts in the region and is a member of several
partnerships and coordination mechanisms in the country.
Job Summary: The Office Assistant – Procurement &
Operations will provide assistance to the Procurement and Operations Manager
with the administrative and logistics support to Head Office activities in the
areas of transport management, asset/inventory management and facility
maintenance of both Head Office and Field Office Premises.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Provide
support to the department to implement policies and standard operating
guidelines for general administration, transport, and travel and provide
administrative and logistical support to staff and visitors.
·
Provide
support to the department Implement annual procurement plans in line with TPO’s
and PPDA’s standards.
·
Provide
support in monitoring contracts/agreements process as per the agreed terms.
·
Coordinate
and ensure maximum security of staff and organization Assets/properties in line
organizational policies
·
Provide
management of the stores, thus, stocking taking and request of reimbursement
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The applicant
must be a finalist student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration, Procurement, and Logistics Management or its equivalent from a
recognized institution.
·
Should
possess a minimum of an Ordinary Level Certificate of Education,
·
Should
be personable, a team leader and result orientated.
·
Proven
ability to apply creative thinking to practical problem solving with an aim of
improving service delivery;
·
Ability
to manage multiple tasks at a time, work effectively with colleagues from different
backgrounds;
·
Demonstrate
knowledge of use of office equipment and maintenance.
·
Excellent
interpersonal skills.
·
A
successful candidate must be good in spoken and written English Language and be
able to work with minimum supervision.
·
