Job Summary:  The Data Assistant mainly provides technical
and administrative support to assist with technical and administrative duties.
Handles special projects and executes research and data analysis tasks.
Analyzes problems, determines approach, compiles and analyzes data and prepares
reports and recommendations. Coordinates activities between departments and
external parties. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

data management, entry, aggregation and validation of data and generation of
daily, weekly and monthly reports for maternity and nutrition services in
selected project supported facilities

quality data standards at points of service delivery by ensuring the generation
and submission of accurate, timely, valid data to inform on quality improvement
and reporting.

will work closely with the health Informatics team and respective directorates
to compile weekly, monthly and quarterly facility HMIS reports.

data entry to DH1S2 and project data management systems

incumbent will analyze and present performance data for key program indicators
to inform decision making at program level, facility level and participate in
data cleaning and DQA activities.

in the development and maintain project databases to capture relevant data on
key indicators

in writing regular, timely progress reports of activities and results for USAID
and other stakeholders

rigorous annual data quality assessments on all project indicators, and write
up and disseminate results

periodic and adhoc data as requested by MEL Director, including data calls.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

ideal candidate for the FHI 360 Data Assistant job must hold a degree in either
Statistics, IT, Social Sciences, basic sciences or a related field.

minimum of two years of experience in handling, collecting, and managing
numerical data in the areas of MNCH and/or Nutrition

knowledge of departmental objectives to provide administrative and technical

oral and written communication skills.

organizational and time management skills.

to analyze and interpret data, identify errors and provide corrective action.

in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
