Job Summary:  The Head
of Communications is responsible for creating and implementing strategies to
further our brand. They are expected to develop and implement plans that
promote the company’s brand, interact with the public and establish productive
relationships with key stakeholders and policy makers. The officer will lead our
communications, implement marketing strategies for our programs, build
partnerships and lead our fundraising strategies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

Communications and Marketing

·       
Design
the company’s communication materials using computer software programs while
creating or incorporating illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the
desired theme and tone of the communications.

·       
Design,
upload & manage content on the social media platforms including the
website.

·       
Regularly
broadcast sector opportunities to the portfolio of businesses, stakeholders and
partners.

·       
Engage
media houses to ensure visibility of the company and company projects.

·       
Source
for participants for organized trainings, conferences and other forms of
meetings.

·       
Advise
portfolio companies and partners on their communication and public relations
strategies.

·       
Writing
the company’s weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual bulletins or updates.

·       
Coordinating
videography and photography activities.

·       
Commissioning
market research. 

Strategy and
Partnerships

·       
Developing
a communications strategy for the company and its subsidiaries.

·       
Engaging
with media companies to explore partnerships for our programs

·       
Taking
lead on all communications across our projects and subsidiary entities.

·       
Participate
in writing proposals to potential investors and partners.

·       
Promote
the company’s programs across different platforms and events.

·       
Sourcing
and managing speaking and engagement opportunities for the Managing Director.

·       
Fostering
community relations through events such as open days and involvement in
community initiatives.

·       
Managing
the PR aspect of any potential crisis involving the company.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The ideal
candidate must hold an advanced or bachelor’s degree in public relations or
communications.

·       
Minimum
of 5 years’ in a similar role with either a media company, marketing agency,
banking industry or investment fund.

·       
Certificate
in Graphics Designing.
