Job Summary:  In the Digital Sales Executive position, the
incumbent’s core goal will be to identify, engage and recruit a high quality
clientele to purchase a wide range of our products. In this job the Digital
Sales Executive will in addition be required to grow our sales by extending our
customer reach through effective customer interaction, daily customer
recruitment and leads follow-up to facilitate sales order generation and active
participation in all digital transformation initiatives to foster brand
differentiation. The Digital Sales Executive must be an excellent communicator,
tech savvy and have superior people skills. They must be comfortable presenting
company products or services over the phone as well as dealing with customer
complaints and doubts.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Contact
potential or existing customers to inform them about our Hima product range and
comfortably answer questions about these products or the company in general.
The Executive should also be in position to adequately answer customer queries
and complaints.

·       
Contribute
to sales order generation through proactive customer recruitment and leads’
follow-up over telephone, email or social media. The Executive should be able
to question and understand customer needs. He or she should be able to go the
extra mile to close sales and meet targets.

·       
Ensure
efficient system customer creation and updating of customer information in the
system database.

·       
Work
tirelessly to ensure that operations around order taking and logging through
various B2C and B2B digital channels are efficiently executed with adequate
follow-up.

·       
The
Digital Sales Executive should be able to work closely with the Digital Sales
Supervisor to record and appropriately follow up and close customer feedback in
CRM system. He or she should keep records of customer phone conversations and
share reports on any useful information therefrom.

·       
Ensure
visibility of calls; stop the prevalence of dropped calls and
non-responsiveness i.e. inbound, outbound and missed calls with options of call
recording and queue management.

·       
Route to
market (RTM) project. I.e. Digital Sales Executive generation and management of
orders through the distribution channels.

·       
Should
be able to conduct market intelligence and after sales surveys, BTL campaigns
on products & services.

·       
Develop
and manage customer retention schemes.

·       
Compliance
with Lafarge Safety Standards at the Call centre

·       
Ensuring
compliance with established internal control procedures

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate for the Hima Cement Digital Sales Executive job should hold a
Bachelors of Honors Degree in a Business, related course from a recognized
University

·       
Training
in online sales excellence is desired.

·       
Good
knowledge of relevant computer programs such as CRM software and telephone
systems.

·       
Fluency
in English. Knowledge of Swahili and Luganda is an added advantage

·       
Related
work experience in a similar environment for not less than 1 year

·       
Good
Analytical skills (able to understand basic profit & loss calculations)

·       
Must be
an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator

·       
Ability
to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects

·       
Proven
track record of successfully meeting sales targets preferably over the phone
and using online digital platforms is a must.

·       
Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Cool-tempered and able to handle
rejection

·       
Outstanding
negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints

·       
Problem
solving skills which require exercising independent judgment and consultation

·       
Self-driven,
results oriented.

·       
Able to
plan and prioritise

·       
Comfortable
dealing with people and a good listener

·       
Reliable,
tolerant & determined

·       
Able to
work extended hours when required
