and applied research. We provide specialist engineering and project
management services in the fields of water resources and hydraulic engineering,
urban water management, drainage and flood risk management, dams and hydropower
engineering, water/wastewater treatment process design, structural/bridge
engineering, transportation engineering and applied research. We work closely
with clients to understand their technical and commercial needs and deliver
innovative and cost-effective solutions to meet their business needs.

 

Job Summary:  MEIR
is seeking to recruit a part time Accounts Officer with a strong desire to grow
their skills in corporate Accounting and Finance. The Qualified candidate must
have a minimum of an upper Second Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting),
Accounting and Finance of Business Administration (Accounting Option) from a recognized
university.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Assist
the Managing Director in financial planning and budgeting;

·       
Undertake
financial accounting & control actions (Payment processing, Receipt

·       
processing,
Payroll management, Bank Reconciliations, Fixed Asset Register Management and
Back-up of corporate accounting records);

·       
Tax
Accounting (Preparation, review and submission of tax returns);

·       
Timely preparation,
submission of provisional income tax returns including reviews and

·       
amendments
and corporate tax planning;

·       
Financial
Monitoring and Reporting (Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial

·       
reports);

·       
Prepare
for and supervise external audits and post audit follow up activities;

·       
Any
other duties assigned from time to time.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting Option)
or Accounting and Finance or

·       
Business
Administration (Accounting Option)

·       
At least
two years’ professional experience in a busy accounting environment

·       
Level 3
CPA or ACCA Level 2 qualification

·       
Good
interpersonal skills and high level of motivation
