Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Preparing
all Balance sheet reconciliations accurately and timeously on a monthly basis.
·
Preparing
and submitting the weekly and monthly reports to senior management.
·
Liaising
with the head office (South Africa) support teams about the in-country
processes and updates.
·
Maintaining
regular and adhoc suppliers’ records and ensuring the entire procurement chain
process is executed accurately and timeously.
·
Filing
monthly VAT, PAYE, WHT and NSSF Returns and ensuring compliance with the
country tax laws and identifying any developments to be incorporated.
·
Managing
the staff pay-roll and staff records.
·
Directly
supervising the finance team members and ensuring all internal control
processes are fully adhered to.
·
Offering
administrative support to the overall business unit.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The ideal
candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Commerce,
majoring in Finance or Accounts.
·
Five
years of work experience in finance management, accountancy or auditing
preferably in an international organization based in Uganda.
·
Excellent
communication, people management and interpersonal skills.
·
Quick
learning ability and flexible character.
·
Ability
to multitask and work long hours.
·
High
level of integrity, self-motivation and time management.
