pharmaceutical manufacturing companies & surgical / non-surgical item
companies spread across India, China, Middle East, Pakistan, UK & Kenya.

 

At Abacus Pharma Ltd we provide a wide variety of pharmaceutical products
for the local market at affordable prices and are now operational in Uganda,
Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya and are working towards expanding to the rest
of Africa to become the leading Pharmaceutical distributor in Africa.

 

Job Summary:  The
Sales manager will be directly responsible for developing new key partnerships
and expanding the business distribution channels. He will be required to
research, identify, pitch and close new business deals coupled with analytical
and relationship management skills to achieve top line and bottom-line
performance for the business.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Identifies
opportunities and propose new methods of improving existing operations with a
focus on bottom-line results.

·       
Work
with management to develop the marketing strategy.

·       
Foster
the search for new approaches to Making sales.

·       
Identify,
Prospect, qualify, negotiate and close deals in an aggressive time-frame.

·       
Attending
and organizing trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings whenever called
upon.

·       
Prepare
and plan for promotional materials.

·       
Organizing
appointments and meetings with hospital-based healthcare staff to sell or
receive feedback about the products and new business to be introduced.

·       
Utilize
a business orientation and marketing demeanor to bring concepts, services and
cooperative business models to the marketplace

·       
up-to-date
with the business, industry, competitor information and economic climate in
which the company and its stakeholders operate.

·       
Participate
in financial planning and be responsible for achieving yearly performance
goals.

·       
Work
with management to develop the marketing strategy.

·       
Demonstrating
or presenting products to healthcare staff including doctors, nurses and
pharmacists.

·       
Actively
develop, grow and manage sales pipelines through the medical / sales
representatives.

·       
Identifying
and establishing new business opportunities to increase the revenue of the
company.

·       
Reviewing
sales performance of some drugs and offering advice to management.

·       
Supervising
the medical representative’s performance, assessing them regularly and ensuring
the work plans and routes are being followed.

·       
Coaching
and mentoring the sales representatives equipping them with sales and marketing
skills.

·       
Negotiating
contracts with customers for the company to sell them drugs.

·       
Do
market research and survey

·       
Ensure
effective communication of the company’s strategies, objectives and
performances to create a positive company profile.

·       
Develop,
maintain positive and productive relationships with all stakeholders.

·       
Following
up on tour plans.

·       
Maintaining
detailed records of drugs being sold so that the information is used when
making business analysis.

·       
Writing
reports and other documents for example daily reports, weekly activity report
end of month, customer report, field work report, sales analysis report,
expense report tour plan, and any other business-related report

 

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:

·       
The
applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, health
sciences.

·       
Two to
three years of working experience in the same role is added advantage.

·       
Knowledge
of the marketing strategies is added advantage.

·       
Familiar
with the use MS Office and power point presentation.
