Partnership Officer (Short Term) Job Advert

 

GOAL is currently
seeking to hire one (1) Partnership Officer to join our Kampala team for
Four Months.  With direct supervision
from the Partnership Compliance Manager the Partnership Compliance Officer will
work to support all Partnership related activities. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership
Management

·        
Prepare
partner contracts/MOU’s/Agreements.

·        
Attend
Partnership opening meetings.

·        
Support
partner organizations in preparation of proposal and budgets for upcoming
projects;

·        
Manage
contract closeout processes with implementing partners.

Risk assessment and
management

·        
Carry
out partner financial assessments in line with GOAL partnership policies.

·        
Carry
out due diligences for private sector partner organizations.

·        
Carry
out compliance checks to ensure partners are in conformity with the terms and
conditions of the agreement.

Documentation

·        
Maintain
contract files and other correspondences with partners in both hard and
softcopies.

·        
File all
financial reports and other related partner documents in an orderly manner.

·        
Maintain
an updated partner database.

·        
Prepare
partner approval documents as per the required checklist.

Capacity Building
of partner Organizations

·        
Carry
out tailored capacity building of partner finance personnel on a regular basis
depending on the financial assessment needs;

·        
Follow
up with partners in respect to areas of improvement identified during audits
and work closely with the partners in closing the issues;

Partner financial
management

·        
Review
partner budgets in line with submitted proposals to ensure they match; 

·        
Prepare
partner disbursement requests and milestone payment requests in line with
partner funding agreements;

·        
Any
other duties as may be assigned by management.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: To be successful in this role, you will
need:

·        
Advanced
university degree in Business and/or Accounting with a recognized institution

·        
Minimum
three (3) years of management experience

·        
Experience
within the development/NGO sector

·        
ACCA/CPA
finalist.

·        
Proficiency
in Microsoft Office including Excel and word and good skills at using financial
software applications. Good understanding of fund accounting, Financial
Analysis

·        
Proven
track record in Grants Management

·        
Experience
with capacity building

·        
ACCA/CPA
fully qualified.

·        
Mastercard
funded project experience

·        
Experience
in working with NGO partners organisations as well as private sector partners

·        
Two (2)
years’ experience with an external audit firm is an added advantage
