The Public Service
Commission is established under the provisions of Article 165(1) of the
1995 Constitution. In fulfillment of its functions under Article 166, the
Commission is required to make a report to Parliament in respect of each year’s
performance of its functions.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: The incumbent
will be responsible to the Senior Petroleum Officer, Production for performing e
following duties:-
·
Proposing
design and analysis of well completions and reservoir production stimulation in
order to facilitate the decision and policy formulation on the concepts,
technologies, and operational strategies;
·
Participating
in the evaluation of Field Development Plans presented by oil companies;
·
Participating
in the evaluation of reservoir management programme for maximizing ultimate
hydrocarbon recovery;
·
Participating
in the evaluation of the reservoir risks and uncertainties associated with
development wells and production facilities;
·
Participating
in evaluation of secondary and tertiary recovery and production methods;
·
Participating
in the reservoir performance analysis, and log analysis;
·
Following
-up on wells realization and interpretation of acquired data and providing
input for annual reserves forecasts for fields;
·
Any
other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
Applicants
should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical
Engineering; or Petroleum Engineering; or Geo Science; or any other related
field from a recognized University /Institution.
·
Ethics
and integrity; interpersonal, communication and computer skills; ability to
adapt to multi-cultural settings; effective organizational and planning skills;
time management skills; technical skills; report writing skills; negotiation
skills; capacity for teamwork; innovation and concern for results, quality and
standards.
