Cooperation in Research and Development – Uganda) is an indigenous Non
Governmental Organization (NGO) working for social justice and development.
ACORD has been working in Uganda since 1979 with operations in over 25
districts across Uganda. The ACORD-U works in conjunction with people who have
been denied their basic rights, helping to better understand, to challenge, and
to change the situation in which they find themselves.

 

About USAID ICYD Project:

The Agency for
Cooperation in Research and Development-Uganda (ACORD-U), received grants from
USAID, to implement the “Integrated Children and Youth Development (ICYD)
Activity” in Central and Western Uganda (Mityana, Gomba, Luwero, Kyenjojo and
Kakumiro Districts)

 

Job Summary:  The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
Manager will lead the development of M&E work plans, processes and
practices, in concert with ICYD OVC teams and the program technical and finance
teams. The M&E Manager will take the lead in developing, refining, and
coaching teams to integrated and use M&E tools to ensure high quality
documentation, assessing performance against targets, and using data to manage
performance and refine programming to strengthen quality service delivery and
high quality performance. This includes supporting M&E officers across districts
and coaching and mentoring community structures involved across case management
steps and documentation process to report in offline database and consolidate
data for submission to the ICYD OVC database in a timely way.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Manager must hold a University
degree in Statistics, Population studies, Quantitative economics or a related
field; Post graduate Training in M&E preferred.

·       
A
minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in M&E for donor-funded initiatives
desired.

·       
Strong
analytical skills and good working knowledge of major databases and analytical
programs including MS access, MS excel, STATA, SPSS and Epi Data among others.

·       
Experience
in working on databases (online beneficial) and Ministry databases (OVC MIS,
HMIS)

·       
Demonstrated
experience in training on M&E systems and data collection.

·       
Demonstrated
experience remote managing, mentoring and training staff.

·       
Strong
interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.

·       
Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills.
