Job Title: Insurance Officer

Kakira Sugar Works Limited, often referred to as Kakira Sugar Works, is a
leading sugar manufacturer in Uganda, the third-largest economy in the East
African Community.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
In
charge of identifying risks and exposures for potential insurance cover. _
·
Coordinating
and follow up with various departments to ensure that insurance requirements
are taken care of.
·
Coordinating
with the Insurance Manager and Director on insurance matters.
·
Ensuring
that insurance documentation like proposal forms and claim forms are completed
and submitted on time.
·
Reviewing
insurance documents to ensure they are in line with what is required by the
Company.
·
Liaising
with insurance providers and intermediaries to ensure that the organization’s
interests are taken care of.
·
Following
up on claims and eventual settlements.
·
Preparing
periodic reports on the insurance activities of the Company.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
·
The
applicants should be graduates in insurance or graduate with post graduate
qualifications in insurance.
·
A
minimum of three years of experience in any insurance related field with good
skills and able to work with minimum supervision.
