positive, lasting change in Uganda. We run a 30 bed children’s hospital as well
as associated community programs in our region to ensure the poor can access
high quality health care.
Job Summary: Maranatha Health is seeking to recruit a
Hospital Administrator to join our hard working 40 person team in Fort Portal,
Kabarole District. The ideal candidate would possess a high level of integrity,
be meticulously organised and experienced at managing staff and workplans, and
share our vision for justice and compassion for the poor.
Job Summary: This person will work in a multidiscplinary
senior team to provide leadership for the organisation. They will provide
administrative oversight to the health services and programs of Maranatha
Health, coordinating all administrative and HR functions of Maranatha Health on
a day-to-day level. They will:
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
·
Provide
administrative oversight to Maranatha Health and the integration of the various
department’s work plans/activities
·
Maintain
appropriate, secure, up-to-date, well organised administrative and clinical
records for the organisation
·
Manage
the human resource department, including oversight of HR recruitment and the
implementation of HR policies and procedures
·
Work
closely with the M&E manager to ensure the organisation’s workplans and
associated M&E frameworks are created and implemented diligently and
effectively, with available records and data
·
Oversee
problem solving and strategy development around complex challenges faced by MH
as part of the Senior Team
·
Support
the Finance Manager in tracking income and expenditure using appropriate
software
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
applicant hold a degree level or higher qualification in health administration,
HR, administration or management
·
Experience
in a management role and/or working as a hospital administrator
·
Familiarity
with managing workplans, budgets and M&E
·
Excellent
computer literacy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Quickbooks knowledge
ideal but not essential)
·
Demonstrated
history of integrity and compassion
