Job Summary:  The Short Term Logistics Technical Assistant will
support the prequalification process by doing 
high quality data entry and analysis as captured from the bid  documents of all of suppliers and service
providers.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

Generic
responsibilities:

·       
Adhere
to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, and donor requirements

·       
Assist
with the implementation of the logistic function’s portfolio at the field site.

·       
Provide
logistic administration and basic support 

·       
Prepare
and develop status reports as required by Line manager

·       
Ensure
proper filing of all logistics documents at the field site

·       
Assist
in the planning and delivery of logistic activity

·       
Promote
and share ideas for improvement of the logistic function

Specific
responsibilities

·       
Peruse
the bid documents and Enter Suppliers /Service providers into data Excel sheet
as provided by NRC.  

·       
Provide
analysis as per the various categories of  
bids

·       
Ensure
entered data is per category.

·       
Ensure
the Data entered is accurate (all information is entered as per the Excel sheet
Columns provided).

·       
Filling
of the bid documents at logistics Country Office

·       
Assist
in printing and filling of prequalification documents when required.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant for the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) Short Term Logistics
Technical Assistant job must hold a higher Diploma in procurement/logistics or
related field.

·       
Possession
of CIPS qualification will be an added advantage.

·       
At least
two years’ experience from working in logistics/procurement

·       
Good
knowledge of logistics systems and forms.

·       
hands of
experience with e-procurement

·       
Previous
experience from working with an NGO in complex and volatile contexts

·       
Strong
sense of personal integrity and commitment

·       
Able to
work under pressure for long hors and with minimum  supervision.

·       
Must be
fluent in English, both written and verbal
