Job Title: Senior Accountant

About US:
Kakira Sugar Works Limited, often referred to as Kakira Sugar Works, is a
leading sugar manufacturer in Uganda, the third-largest economy in the East
African Community.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Dealing
with banks, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting.
·
Reconciliation
of accounts including banks under on-line SAP environment with 150 users on
SAP.
·
Preparation
of cash-flow statements, annual budget and Management information reports
·
Prepare
daily, weekly and monthly sales reports and provide efficient services to
customers and business associates.
·
Maintaining
export documents & customer reconciliations.
·
Compliance
of statutory requirements for VAT, Excise Duty, PAYE, Income Tax and NSSF
·
Supervision
and control of the day-to-day functioning of the Accounts Department
·
Liaise
with Internal and Statutory Auditors
·
Any
other related duties that may be delegated by the Management from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
Applicant
should be holder of any of the following qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce,
Masters in Business Administration (Accounting), CPA and ACCA or similar
qualification
·
An ideal
candidate should have at least 10 (ten) years experience in a similar working
environment, with a thorough knowledge of SAP FICO and/or SD Module.
·
Candidates
having SAP Certifications will have an added advantage.
