Job Summary:  The
Regional Sales Manager implements the sales strategies within the region and
oversees the regional sales activities to ensure market development and sales
target achievement

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
To
provide direction to the regional sales teams in order to achieve the sales
targets.

·       
To
ensure that the distributors adhere to the distributor contract obligations

·       
Implement
and monitor the national sales strategies and plans in line with set internal

·       
guidelines
so as to meet the specific annual sales targets of the business;

·       
Undertake
market intelligence and identify all new business opportunities to expand

·       
business;

·       
To carry
out trade visits to all customers in the region and ensure and manage a door to
door distribution of all our SKUs.

·       
Forecast
sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their

·       
effectiveness

·       
Manage
the order review process, including pricing adherence, and customer

·       
requirement
clarification; and

·       
Supervise
and coach sales staff to ensure they perform their role so as to meet the sales
targets.

·       
Ensure
distribution efficiency and effectiveness in the assigned region and achieve
both

·       
weighted
and numeric distribution

·       
Conduct
periodic reviews of both the distributor and sales team to ensure performance

·       
improvement

·       
Ensure
sales growth by segments

·       
Ensure
profitability and financial health across all distributors in the region

·       
Ensure
optimal utilisation of Van man sales automation system

·       
Ensure
competitor information are data is analysed and escalated to the Head of Sales
&the marketing team.

·       
Liaison
with marketing for business development and sales promotions.

·       
Attend
morning distributor sales clinic with TSMs and TEAM MEMBERS to discuss

·       
important
issues and take guidelines for smooth operations.

·       
Responsible
for supporting and hiring of sales staff and delivery of training to existing
as well as new sales staff in the area of product knowledge, selling skills,
role play, etc.

·       
Opening
up of new POS within the zone for better penetration.

·       
Visiting
all business associates and other potential customers in the region.

·       
To
conduct team building exercise for better and improved Teamwork.

·       
Monitor
distributor operations providing support for their day-to-day activities and

·       
target
achievement.

·       
Visiting
POS to further strengthen existing sale channels.

·       
Minuting
every meeting and duly informing every stakeholder regarding the minutes and
follow up.

·       
Ensuring
that daily visit report is updated by every team member and after verifications
sent to the relevant people daily.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field of
study

·       
from a
recognized university.

·       
Experience
in the management of FMCG distributors

·       
A
minimum of six (6) years’ relevant work experience in FMCG sales and
distribution

·       
setting

·       
Membership
to Chartered Institute of Management is an added advantage

·       
Excellent
negotiation, analytical and numerical skills with a strong business acumen

·       
Ability
to independently plan and execute complex tasks while addressing daily

·       
management
details and remaining organized and focused.

·       
Ability
to work under pressure with minimum or no supervision

·       
Ability
to assess problems and develop solutions.

·       
Excellent
interpersonal, communication and organization skills with a high demonstrable

·       
level of
integrity
