About USAID Project:

The goal of the
five-year, USAID-funded Integrated Child and Youth Development (ICYD) Activity
is for Ugandan children and youth, especially the most vulnerable, to receive
the support and services necessary to lead resilient, healthy, and productive
lives.

 

Job Summary:  The Materials Development Manager will manage
development and production of EGR and School Related Gender-based Violence
(SRGBV) teaching. teaming, and Coaching/supervision materials and community
engagement resources. in collaboration with the ICYD EGR technical team and EDC
home office technical advisers. The Materials Development Manager reports to
the Senior Technical Advisor-Education and supervises the Print Materials
Specialist and Digital Materials Specialist. This is a full-time position based
in Kampala, Uganda.

 

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:

·       
Bachelor’s
degree and 8 or more years of experience in developing or revising educator
professional development materials and student teaming resources, with a locus
on early grade reading or SRGBV materials preferred;

·       
Desktop
publishing experience required; experience with in Design graphic design
software strongly preferred;

·       
Experience
with USAID-funded projects preferred

·       
Excellent
written and verbal communication skills in English

·       
Familiarity
with internationally-funded projects

·       
Previous
experience working in Uganda.
