Internationally, we expand access to and improve the quality of services
addressing maternal, newborn, and child health; infectious diseases, including
HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria; reproductive health and family planning; food and
nutrition; and vulnerable children and families. In the US, we focus on
improving communication related to issues like substance abuse, with a
particular focus on reaching underserved populations.
Job Summary: The Knowledge Management and Communication
Specialist focuses on Project knowledge management, learning, and project
documentation. .
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Identify,
document and disseminate project activities and achievements.
·
Promote
project successes and lessons learned utilizing a variety of communication
channels.
·
Work
with project research and M&E and teach teams, technical teams and
partners, Government (Ministry of Health and district Local Governments),
communities and project beneficiaries to identify and document and disseminate
best practices, success stories, and lessons learned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
applicant must hold a basic degree qualification in communication or related
field; and a master’s degree in public health or other relevant field
·
At least
five years of work experience, at least 2 years of experience in knowledge
management activities for international development projects: preferably in the
health sector
·
Previous
experience with USAID-funded projects is of an advantage
·
Excellent
writing and editing skills required
·
Excellent
interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills,
