On behalf of our
client in the Agriculture sector, we are looking for a competent Talent
Management Specialist to work in Kampala.

 

Job Summary:  As the Talent Management Specialist, you play
a key role in the growth of our employees. You are the bridge between the
departmental heads and the employees by way of (i) linking job descriptions to
performance reviews, (ii) updating and implementing tools to evaluate, measure
and improve employee working habits, (iii) etc. 
As the HR department is a vibrant & flexible team, you shall assist
in the monthly payroll process. 

 

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:

·        
Handle
the performance Management function of the company in liaison with the L&D
Specialist.

·        
Develop
efficient systems for information collection on performance

·        
Gathering
and analysing cross-functional performance data

·        
Presenting
statistical performance analysis and recommending solutions

·        
Design
and review policies related to employee performance

·        
Lead,
develop and inspires teams

·        
Provide
training and development to managers on performance best practices

·        
Identify,
report, and resolve workplace or interpersonal barriers to performance

·        
Setting
performance objectives and updating as necessary

·        
Develop
growth trajectories for employees

·        
Participate
as part of the company’s HR team in ensuring that all HR issues are legally and
properly addressed.

·        
Fully
support the HR team in ensuring the department functions at the highest level
at all times. 

·        
Participate
in project work as required.

 

Key Performance Measures

·        
All
employees know what is required to perform a job (goals and responsibilities of
the job)

·        
Every
job description is linked to a performance review

·        
Properly
developed performance evaluation tools.

·        
Assure
that every employee receives a qualitative appraisal at least once a year

·        
Database
for monitoring and auctioning individual performance and resultant actions.

·        
Good
working relationship with HR team.

·        
Demonstrates
support for all HR decisions when dealing with internal and external customers.

·        
Complete
project work with in required timeframes

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·        
The applicant
must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human resources or Bachelors in Business
Administration majoring in HR  or related
field

·        
A
minimum of four (4) years hands-on experience in talent management  – required

·        
Demonstrated
skills in the process of developing employees

·        
Language:
Fluently English & Luganda

·        
Excellent
computer skills. (Ms. Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

·        
Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills and a high level of service orientation

·        
Ability
to work under pressure and meet deadlines

·        
High  integrity and ethical standards

·        
Good
planning  and  organizational skills like ability to make
priorities

·        
Accuracy
and attention to detail

·        
Problem-solving
and analytical ability

·        
Proficiency
in HRIS such as Paymaster (pro)

·        
Good
understanding of related payroll legislations, remuneration benefits, taxation
issues and organizations (pro)

 

Work Environment/Condition:

·        
The
position is Office based with frequent movements to the field,

·        
Flexibility
working hours & days to meet all deadlines.

·        
Ability
to work on simultaneous projects.
