About US:

TPO Uganda is a
local Ugandan NGO that has been operating in the country for 25 years. Our
programs comprise interventions organised around the following themes; Care and
protection of OVC; child protection, livelihoods support, mental health and
psychosocial support response and prevention of all forms of violence against
women and children as well as emergency response and humanitarian action. TPO
Uganda is active in 33 districts in the region and is a member of several
partnerships and coordination mechanisms in the country.

 

TPO Uganda is now
seeking person with USAID work experience for the following positions for its
USAID-Keeping Children Healthy and Safe (KCHS) Activity. All positions will be
based in our Mbarara regional offices and candidates must be willing and ready
to live and world region

 

Job Summary:  The Grants Management Specialist will head the
KCHS grants management unit and provide overall prudent grant management
support in compliance with USAID policies and regulations. Hel She will
supervise and support 3 grants and compliance officers who will be attached to
each of the 3 implementing partners across 25 districts in south western and
central Uganda. The Grants Management Specialist will be supported by the TPO-Uganda
Grants and Compliance Manager. He/She will work with the COP, DTS/DCOP,
Financial management and Operations Director and Technical Team Leads to ensure
granting process adheres to approved frameworks. He/she will ensure that key
processes are in place to manage grant risk assessments, donor financial
compliance and reporting management processes

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
holder should possess a master’s degree in business management, finance and
administration or a related field.

·       
Previous
experience in managing financial and administrative components of grants,
specifically the candidate should possess experience with USAID contracting and
grant mechanism with demonstrated knowledge of USAID financial management
systems, regulation, and reporting requirements
