About US:

TPO Uganda is a
local Ugandan NGO that has been operating in the country for 25 years. Our
programs comprise interventions organised around the following themes; Care and
protection of OVC; child protection, livelihoods support, mental health and
psychosocial support response and prevention of all forms of violence against
women and children as well as emergency response and humanitarian action. TPO
Uganda is active in 33 districts in the region and is a member of several
partnerships and coordination mechanisms in the country.

 

TPO Uganda is now
seeking person with USAID work experience for the following positions for its
USAID-Keeping Children Healthy and Safe (KCHS) Activity. All positions will be
based in our Mbarara regional offices and candidates must be willing and ready
to live and world region

 

Job Summary:  The District Project Coordinator will be based
in the respective districts in Western Uganda and will be responsible for
providing overall leadership and project management support of KCHS activities
in three districts (Isingiro & Mbarara, Bushenyi & Rwampara, Ntungamo
& Rukungiri). They will be responsible for coordinating networking,
supervising social workers and ensuring services delivery at household level by
Parasocial workers is on course and representing the project, compiling work
plans and reports among others.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
Must
hold a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, community development, community
health or a diploma in social development from a recognized institution

·       
Prior
experience of managing NGOs community-based children and adolescent health
projects specifically HIV/AIDS, livelihoods and child protection.

·       
Experience
in working with Local Governments systems is an added advantage.
