company operating within Uganda that manufactures and distributes ceramic water
filters with a vision of providing access to clean and safe drinking water for
all Ugandans.

Job Summary:  SPOUTS Impact aims to improve access to safe
and clean water and to maximise the impact of our work in the community. To
support the activities of the SPOUTS Impact, the Program Officer carries our
monitoring and evaluation of programs, provides operational and administrative
assistance by performing a variety of administrative, information management,
coordination and logistical services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·       Provide an administrative support function to
contribute to the effective implementation of the NGO activities.

·       Ensure accurate and timely data entry to
support reliable reporting for business processes.

·       Prepare expense reports to ensure
accountability requirements are met.

·       Contribute to the maintenance of effective
administrative systems to ensure accurate accountability and other records are
readily available.

·       Grant writing and management including budget
forecasting and monitoring

·       Networking and coordinating with relevant
government and non-state actors, sector cluster, forums and stakeholders.

·       Assist in the planning, installation and
review of the impact of programs.

·       Act as a point of contact for potential
beneficiaries and provide relevant referrals.

·       Support the assessment of potential
beneficiaries and completion of due diligence requirements

·       Carry out proper Monitoring and Evaluation
planning and implementation activities.

·       Coordinate information needed to carry out
impact assessment and assist with the analysis and preparation of high quality
internal and donor project reports.

·       Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and
timeliness targets.

·       Regularly review outcomes to assess
performance, implement improvements and provide accurate reports regarding
impact.

·       Support the delivery of training for partner
organisations to enhance the impact of the program in the broader WASH arena

·       Conduct training to ensure that filters are
used properly and maintained effectively.

·       Ensure the preparation of appropriate support
materials for the delivery of training programs.

·       Demonstrate corporate responsibility

·       Always act in a manner consistent with
SPOUTS’ values.

·       Comply with the SPOUTS’ standards of conduct
and all applicable policies and legislation.

·       Any other duties and responsibilities as may
be assigned to employee from time to time by employer

             

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       University degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience.

·       Ability to follow guidelines and procedures

·       Able to seek clarification and use judgement
for work that is less routine

·       Proven ability to coordinate processes and
prioritise workload in an environment of multiple demands

·       Well organized with an ability to perform
filing and record keeping tasks

·       Demonstrated record for accuracy and
attention to detail

·       Ability to develop and manage plans and
budgets

·       Works well in a multi-functional and
multi-cultural team

·       Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel and
PowerPoint, preferably in a work environment

·       Excellent written, oral communication,
presentation and reporting skills.

·       Excellent organizational and leadership
skills.

·       Proven experience in program management,
monitoring and evaluation, working with partners and community engagement. 

·       Proven experience working to achieve
performance targets, particularly in a multicultural setting.

·       Fluency in spoken and written English is
required.

·       Knowledge of spoken Ugandan languages is a
plus, but not required.

Special conditions: Some travel will be required between the SPOUTS head office and other
parts of Uganda in response to the demands of the NGO program. 
The Program Officer
works an average of 40 hours per week. Weekend and evening work may be
required. 
There will be
significant coordination required of field work throughout Uganda and some
travel throughout the country is expected
