youth through quality education. The organization started operations in Uganda
in 2007 and currently operates in Southern Uganda in the districts of Rakai,
Kyotera, Lwengo, and Masaka. Its projects address the root causes of problems
that prevent children and young people from getting a quality education. Our
model is based on four pillars: Inspiring Schools, Education, Pathways and
Community Engagement. COF projects contribute to the UN Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs), and Goal 4 in particular.

 

Job Summary:  The Field Content Coordinator is responsible
for delivering factual and engaging content that aligns with the Cotton On
Foundation Communications Strategy. The key objective of this role is about
creating brand awareness and delivering a 1:5 ratio across all team and
customer touch points. The Content Coordinator will be required to deliver
outstanding creative solutions through film, animation, pre and post
production, audio and photography. The Content Coordinator is responsible for
liaising with the wider COF team to gather information that is in-line with the
COF Communications Strategy, and then use this information to create and
publish compelling and informative storytelling content. They are responsible
for the upkeep and content publishing of all COF owned channels including,
websites, social media platforms and on occasions COF’s in-store presence. The
Content Coordinator will report to the Communications Manager and support the
overall Cotton On Foundation Communications Strategy.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant must hold a qualification in Journalism or
    Communications preferable.
  • Clear criminal record
  • Ability to deliver quality film, photography, audio and editing.
  • Experience working as a content editor, journalist or in
    communications is a must
  • A background and understanding of the Marketing function within a
    business
  • Backend website publishing experience favorable but not essential
  • Photography – Stock photography for digital learning.
  • Key Stakeholder Mentoring – Provide clear direction and support to
    the Cotton On Group brands, in relation to video production.
  • Communication – Clear and effective communication with all
    stakeholders to ensure briefs are interpreted accurately and delivered to
    industry quality.
  • Video Production – Producing hype films, training videos and
    interviews.
  • Good interpersonal skills, high level of integrity and good moral
    conduct
  • Excellent written English and computer skills
  • Self-directed and capable of working with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines for proposal development /
    reporting
  • Strong commitment to Cotton On Foundation’s cause and values
  • An open personality and acceptance of all races, creeds and cultures
  • Licensed, and willing to travel by motor bike
