About US:

KCB Bank Uganda Limited, also KCB Bank Uganda, is a
commercial bank in Uganda. It is licensed by the Bank of Uganda, the central
bank and national banking regulator.

 

Job Summary:  The Executive Director will be responsible for
supporting the Managing Director in the overall strategy formulation and
implementation of astute leadership and management in line with the Bank’s
vision, mission and values.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Play a critical role in the Executive and the
Board in developing the vision and strategic goals for the Bank as well as
support strategy formation, implementation and monitoring for the bank;

·       
Foster strong and robust relationships with Key
stakeholders of the Bank including shareholders, customers, regulators and the
communities in which we do our business;

·       
Support business growth and development through
well-structured business plans and budgets;

·       
Ensure effective and efficient management /
coordination of the Bank’s core operations processes relating to payments,
procurements, facilities and security functions to deliver value and excellent
customer service while mitigating inherent risks;

·       
Ensure the Bank’s corporate image is protected
and portrayed in positive light in addition to acquisition, usage and
maintenance of channels of communication whilst developing and implementing the
marketing plan and impactful CSR activities through the KCB Foundation;

·       
Continuously review existing product offering to
ensure KCB products are competitive in the market and drive project
implementation;

·       
Manage key business relationships with key
suppliers to ensure that services/products procured meet the quality and brand
standards and are cost effective;

·       
Oversee the Customer Service function and
overall project execution framework and function in the Bank;

·       
Board Member and member to various Board and
Management Committees and Member of Country Management / Executive Committee
(CMT / EXCO) Team; and

·       
Support the MD in the day to day running of the
Bank.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a
Business-related field from a recognised reputable institution;

·       
A Master’s Degree in a Business-related field or
a Professional Qualification in Banking, Finance or Marketing will be an added
advantage;

·       
At least fifteen (15) years working experience
of which ten (10) years must have been at a senior management level in the
banking or financial services sector; Q A good understanding of Risk,
Compliance policies and procedures as well as knowledge of current trends and
best practice in Banking; and

·       
An entrepreneurial mindset, with outstanding
organisational, leadership, analytical thinking, with excellent problem solving
and project management skills..
