Abacus Medical
Appliances Ltd (Amal) provide a wide variety of health equipment products for
the local market at affordable prices and are now operational in Uganda,
Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya and are working towards expanding to the rest
of Africa to become the leading distributor in Africa.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
Achievement
of Sales targets as defined by the company – products, quantity, value and
profit margins.

·        
To plan
budget for operation and ensure control of the same.

·        
Management
of the team with reference to Customers, territory, sales, reports and appraisal.

·        
Territory
management with reference to Government, major institutions, Tenders of smaller
hospitals.

·        
To
suggest marketing plans on med reps, promotional materials, coverage plans,
reporting structure, CRM activities for the team to achieve desired corporate
objectives.

·        
Handling
of distributors across the country to ensure planned orders and execution.

·        
To
co-ordinate with sales/ accounts in ensure receiving timely payments from
customers.

·        
To make
recommendations for opening of new customers and suggest credit limits.

·        
To
inform management of competition in reference to price, brands, suppliers and
make suggestions to management to take informed decisions on price, new product
launches etc.

·        
To take
initiatives to control the cost of operation.

·        
To
co-ordinate and place orders to avoid stock outs and complete accountability of
stocks in warehouse.

·        
To
develop corporate customers / doctors to support the company.

·        
Any-other
duties assigned by the company.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·        
Bachelors
or Pharmaceuticals, BSC, BA Management or projects from recognized university.

·        
5-7
years of corporate managerial experience in pharma industries.

·        
Knowledge
of the marketing strategies is added advantage.

·        
Good at
Microsoft offices application.
