of comprehensive HIV & AIDS prevention, care, treatment and training

Job Summary: The Data Management Specialist will lead the
GHS analytics Unit in building algorithms and design experiments to merge,
manage, interrogate and extract data to supply tailored reports to GHS, and
wider organisation. S/he will use machine learning tools and statistical
techniques to produce analytical solutions to problems through setting up
real-time analytical platforms; stay curious and enthusiastic about using data
to solve problems and enthuse others to see the benefit of data and must have
capacity to design and automate capacity building tools for strategy-wise
reporting and advisory.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
applicant for the Mildmay Uganda Data Management Specialist job placement must
hold a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another
quantitative field
·
Seven
years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models.
·
The
successful candidate will have knowledge in using software/tools: Python, SLQ,
JavaScript;
·
Working
knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting
data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.
·
S/he
will have experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques:
hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analysing data, drawing
conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for infectious diseases
programs.
