Job Summary: The Quality Assistant will be responsible for
ensuring that the services rendered fit the purpose and meet customer
expectations with legal compliance
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Along
with the below listed responsibilities, the employee should conduct any other
business related to the function as required by his supervisor.
·
Assessing
the quality of all coffee coming in and going out
·
Maintaining
proper records of all quality analysis reports
·
Update
and follow-up all data samples sent to clients
·
Make
sure coffee meets expected standards all the way through the processing and
warehousing chain
·
Help the
trade department selecting lots in line with client’s specs
·
Liaise
with UCDA officials to ensure the exported coffee meet their standards
·
Update
the quality department SOP
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
applicant for the Louis Dreyfus Company job must hold a Diploma in Food
science. Degree in food science will be an added advantage
·
UCDA
certification/Licence
·
Three
years of experience in Coffee quality control
·
English
and Luganda a must, knowledge of Swahili will be an added advantage
·
Computer
proficient
·
Passion
for great coffee
·
Good
communication skills
·
Excellent
Teamwork/Collaboration ability
·
High
level of integrity
·
Hands-on
approach and adaptability
·
Customer
centricity
·
Organisational
skills and Perspective
·
Languages: English (Fluent), Swahili (Fluent)
