About US:

The Insurance
Regulatory Authority of Uganda (IRA) was established under section 14 of the
Insurance Statute 1996 now The Insurance Act, (Chap213) Laws of Uganda, 2000
(Insurance Act) which came into effect on 4th April 1996 and commenced
operations in April 1997. The establishment of the Insurance Regulatory Authority
of Uganda was a consequence of Government’s adoption of the liberalization and
privatization policies which ended its role of directly engaging in the
provision of goods and services and taking on the role of supervisor or
regulator.

Job Summary:  The Office Assistant will mainly maintain the
hygiene of the office premises at all times and delivery of documents and
messages to their destination both within and outside the office premises.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Provide
administrative support.

·       
Maintain
premises and equipment cleanliness and tidiness.

·       
Assist
in making photocopies and stapling materials.

·       
Responsible
for the movement of documents within the office and deliver parcels outside
office locations.

·       
Carry
out a security check of office on a daily basis.

·       
Ensure
that office premises (windows and doors) are opened and securely locked at the
end of the day

·       
Carry
out any other duty as may be assigned from time to time

Key Performance Indicators

·       
Office
organized to company standards.

·       
Timely
delivery and collection of company correspondences

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant for the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda (IRA) Office
Assistant job placement must hold an Advanced level certificate of education or
its equivalent.

·       
A valid
motorcycle riding license.

·       
One year
of experience in a related field is an added advantage.

·       
Customer
Service;

·       
Communication
skills;

·       
Initiative
