Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Responsible
for the green coffee procurement for our factory, both Arabica and Robusta.
·
Management
of the coffee purchases activities, including the close monitoring of the
deliveries and the open contracts position.
·
Active
participation in the daily coffee quality analysis and the assessment of the
processing implications.
·
Development
of our supply chain, networking with local suppliers and development of strong
professional relationships with our partners.
·
Strategical
and tactical physical coffee buying decisions, together with the local
Management and the trading desk in Europe, by deploying fundamental Supply
& Demand analysis, reviewing technical indicators, macro and weather
related factors.
·
Management
of commercial, operational and financial risks related to the coffee
procurement.
·
Regular
reporting on progress and development, including the internal distribution of
market reports.
·
Proactive
support in the development and implementation of sustainable projects.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
applicant must hold a Master’s Degree (or at least Bachelor’s Degree) in
business management, trading, supply chain or similar fields preferred.
·
At least
five years or more of experience in coffee procurement in Uganda during which
you have developed great negotiation skills.
·
You have
strong expertise in coffee types, specifications and origins, with a cupping
experience.
·
You
demonstrate strong analytic skills with decision‐making skills, problem solving skills and
strategic planning.
·
You have
ability to thrive in high‐pressure
situations, you know how to manage your time thanks to your organizational
skills.
·
You are
fluent in English, both speaking and writing, and you have good communication
and reporting skills.
·
You are
comfortable in a multicultural environment.
