activities in West Nile, Mid and South Western Uganda. We provide Comprehensive
Primary Health Care, Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS and Nutrition.
Job Summary: The Registered Midwife will be responsible for
providing midwifery services during pregnancy, labour and postpartum periods in
line with health protocols, universal hygienic and new-born caring standards.
Engages in activities that promote MCH, family planning and proper nutrition.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The applicant must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s
Degree in Midwifery from an accredited School of Nursing and Midwifery is
required
·
Registration with Uganda Nurses and Midwives
Council is required
·
Valid practicing license is required
·
Two years of midwifery experience is required
·
Experience working with international NGOs is an
added advantage
·
Knowledge of professional midwifery principles,
procedures and techniques
·
Knowledge of medical and non-medical waste
disposal procedures
·
Knowledge of hygiene management and IPC protocol
·
Skilled in applying professional midwifery care
principles and procedures in the evaluation and treatment of patients
