Kajjansi, 14 Kilometers along Kampala-Entebbe Road with a second factory at
Kamonkoli in Mbale
Job Summary: The Production Assistant – Workshop and
Maintenance is responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance
activities for Uganda Clays Limited. The role is accountable for performing its
duties in a safe, productive and cost-effective manner while maintaining
compliance with health, environmental and safe regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Contribute
towards strategic & operational planning, ensuring that the factory
machinery supports accomplishment of production targets.
·
Ensure
that Operation of machinery & vehicles are fully Maintained.
·
Designing
and redesigning mechanical systems.
·
Ensure
that Uganda Clays’ quality and safety procedures are implemented in the
maintenance department at all times.
·
To lead
the maintenance Team in a manner that empowers them to efficiently produce
correct standards and quantity of Products.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The applicant
must hold a Degree in mechanical engineering
·
At least
four years of experience in manufacturing companies.
·
Experience
in team leadership
·
Good
communication skills
·
Computer
aided design skills
·
Good
analytical skills
·
Good communication
skills
·
Good
analytical skills
·
Good
knowledge in material science
